Synopsis (via Goodreads):  Meghan Chase has never fit in at her small-town high school, and now, on the eve of her 16th birthday, she discovers why. When her half brother is kidnapped, Meghan is drawn into a fantastical world she never imagined--the world of Faery, where anything you see may try to eat you, and Meghan is the daughter of the summer faery king. Now she will journey into the depths of Faery to face an unknown enemy . . . and beg the help of a winter prince who might as soon kill her as let her touch his icy heart. The Iron King is the first book in the Iron Fey series
 Scoot’s Review:
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast read just because I got wrapped up in the story and didn’t want to put it down! Filled with fantasy, danger, romance and a heartstring-tugging child made The Iron King a book right up my alley. I loved the new concept of Iron Fey and the twists the book presented on the standard Fey elements. I loved the jokester Puck and the striking Ash. I also enjoyed reading about Meghan putting so much effort into protecting her family. I like reading stories where siblings and/or parents protect and love each other and this book definitely falls into that category. Some elements of the plot were predictable, but they didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the storyline. I highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to reading The Iron Daughter to find out what happens next!
