How do you spread the word about your blog?
(e.g. Social Networking sites, Book Blog Directories, comments on other blogs...)

Basically you end up spreading the world about your blog as you post reviews and start visiting other book blogs. One little bit at a time, until magically you have gone from 2 followers to almost 100! It is pretty amazing and I have really enjoyed my experience blogging thus far. In my short blogging time I have used the following places to spread information about my blog:
1. Twitter
3. Posting real comments on other blogs I visit
4. Participating in weekly Memes (like this one!)
5. GoodReads
6. LibraryThing
7. Participating in Book Tour Blogs (like this one!)

Yes, this is my thing too -- leaving REAL comments, not just the drive-by ones! Sometimes my comments are too long, though! :)
I keep hearing about the Book Blogs Ning -- now I'm definitely jumping onto it!

Hello! Just stopping to say hi! I definitely believe that just writing quality reviews and posting meaningful comments on other's blogs helps with networking a lot! I'm trying to start using Twitter more, but it's confusing and I have to figure out how exactly to use it, lol

I'm a new book blogger, so I have no idea what I'm doing. I try to tweet, but I feel like my attempts are so transparent that people KNOW I'm trying to network.
So mostly I just visit other blogs and comment on their reviews or content, and I end up making friends that way. :D I love getting comments, so I figure others do as well <3 Comment love yay! :)

Hi! I'm a new follower hopping by! I have to say that your header took me straight back to a little book series that I had when I was young. It made me feel quite nostalgic! I love it!!
I too use Twitter, Facebook and the like, but have been most successful by just getting out there and meeting people in memes like these! I LOVE seeing what everyone else out there is doing! It is like a whole world of wonderful new friends just waiting to be discovered. I have made som really great friends in the short time I have been doing this. It's wonderful!
