Time for the Book Blogger Hop!

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly event hosted by Crazy For Books!

Book Blogger Hop
"This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!"

This week's question is:

"Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?"

I usually have a handful of books going at the same time - largely because I listen to audiobooks as well as reading printed books.  I often listen to a book on my iPod while I am sitting at my desk all day at work, and I have a LONG commute to getting there so I listen to a different book in the car... and then I have a printed book (or ebook) I read when at home.  For example, right now I am listening to Darklight at work, listening to Proven Guilty in the car, and reading Minder at home. So I usually have about three books at once, sometimes four if I am getting bored with one or the other.  It is very rare that I don't finish a book, but occasionally I will take a break from reading it and come back to it later.

ps. If you are just hopping by don't forget to check out my giveaways here & here! One ends TODAY and they both have low entries.

 How about you?

Yes! I am the same way! At college, I would have one book I would read at home, one I would read while waiting for classes to start, and one to read whenever I hopped over to the library! I'm not at college anymore (and sadly unemployed) so it's not like I have different books for different places. But, I got so used to reading multiple books at college that I never dropped the habit. I try to keep it at two books at a time, but last week I was in the process of reading 4!

I usually have two or three books on the go at any one time: something brainy, something light and maybe a re-read of an old favourite or a kids' book.

Hi, just hopping on by! I actually prefer to just be reading one book at a time, but like you, I often find myself reading a couple. Right now I have three going (two review books and a book for school).

Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet
