Synopsis (via Goodreads)
: A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.
Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.
Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone-one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship-tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.
Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

Scoot’s Review:
Amy is pulled away from the world and friends she loves to be cryrogenically frozen (unpleasantly) with her parents, and stowed as cargo on a ship heading to a new planet far in the future.  Elder is the lone teenager on the ship Godspeed and was born to be the future leader of all the people on board; he knows nothing but the ship around him.  Their worlds collide when Amy is unfrozen early.  Amy sees that the ship has changed in the years it has been traveling and not in a good way – on top of that someone is trying to murder the human cargo.  Elder wants to know more about sol-earth, to uncover the secrets of Godspeed, and to get to know Amy herself.  They are thrown together in an attempt to unravel the mysteries of the ship and to save everyone’s future.  The story flips back and forth between Amy and Elder’s point of views and I really enjoyed that.  The story is fast paced and starts out strong with an attention-grabbing start; I was hooked from the first page.  The book was different from what I was expecting, in a good way.  I really enjoyed the characterization; Amy and Elder were very individual and I loved both of the characters for different reasons.  The sub characters, such as Harley, were relatable and you really felt for them and their idiosyncrasies.  I found the mystery of the ship intriguing and the story had plenty of shocking twists to throw you off kilter.  I can’t wait to get my hands on the second one to find out more!

I never thought I would love a sci-fi based novel but this one proved me wrong. I can't wait to see what develops with Amy and Elder in book two.

I read a different review where the reviewer couldn't stand the different points of view. I found this disappointing, but I'm glad to hear that isn't the group consensus. I'm excited to give it a go!
